Wayground

Create AI-powered assessments, presentations, video, flashcards, and more with Wayground.

FreemiumChecked

Wayground, the new name of Quizizz, is a K-12 platform where teachers build assessments, interactive presentations, videos, flashcards and reading passages with AI. The Basic plan is free for every teacher, and the School and District plan is sold by quote, so no paid list price is published. It is aimed at teachers doing lesson planning who want activities generated from a topic or document.

What Wayground does

Start with a topic, a document, a standard or an upload, and Wayground's AI drafts a full activity from it. That activity can take several forms: an assessment, an interactive presentation, a video, a set of flashcards or a reading passage. Existing material can also be reworked, for instance by changing its reading level or translating a homework page.

In the classroom, activities run either live or student-paced. Classroom Pulse reports live instruction data while a lesson is underway, and anti-cheating alerts and lockdown modes are available for assessments. Accessibility is covered by 20+ accommodations, Read Aloud text-to-speech among them. A Chrome extension lets teachers build activities from the browser, and Google Classroom roster sync and grade passback connect results to an existing class setup.

Basic is free for every teacher, with limited question types, storage for up to 20 activities and limited access to standards-aligned resources. Schools and districts can request a quote for a plan that opens all 20+ question types and 40M+ standards-aligned resources, adds full AI grading with custom and state rubrics, and includes a dedicated Customer Success Manager.
