On a single infinite canvas, Whimsical holds mind maps, flowcharts, diagrams, wireframes built from drag-and-drop components, and docs. Whimsical AI can generate diagrams and mind maps, brainstorm ideas and organize information, so a rough prompt can become a starting structure you then edit by hand. A template library gives further starting points.

Collaboration happens in real time: several people can edit the same board at once and leave comments on it. Boards keep a version history you can restore from. You can add image uploads and embed Loom or YouTube videos, and integrations connect boards to Slack and GitHub. A desktop app comes with every plan.
